Getting Around: Simply walk to your destination! We are about 5 minutes walk from the famous Three Sisters, Echo Point look out, Scenic World, Katoomba waterfalls and Jamison Valley. Other destinations such as Leura forest walk and Leura Cascades can be reached by catching regular local buses.
How to Get There by Car: If you are travelling by car from Sydney, the quickest route to Katoomba is via the M4 motorway, which becomes the Great Western Highway at Penrith. From Central Sydney simply follow Parramatta Road until the turnoff onto the M4 motorway. Keep driving toward Katoomba and turn left to Katoomba town centre, left at first roundabout and turn right onto Lurline Street, which is next to the Katoomba railway station. From there it takes 2-3 minutes drive on the way towards Echo Point and the Three Sisters. By Train: From Central you can board an air-conditioned double-decker Mountains train. The fast journey to the Mountains will most likely stop at Strathfield, Parramatta, Penrith, Emu Plains, and then all stations up the Blue Mountains. The trip from CBD to Katoomba will take under 2 hours. Trains generally run every hour and even more frequently during peak commuter times. Taxis are readily available from Katoomba Railway Stations, or the walk takes 20 minutes from station. Call 131500 for train times, or visit website www.cityrail.info/timetable. In town: Cafes, restaurants, bars, shopping centres, the Edge Cinema, Blue Mountains Cave Tours, Explorer Bus Tours, Trolley Bus Tours, Zig Zag Railway and Day Spa Centre. Other activities: Bush walking, horse riding, abseiling / canyoning, Scenic World ride, sight seeing, lookout points, local gardens, waterfalls, Harley Davidson motorbike rides, golf at Leura or Katoomba golf course, Mount Tomah Botanic Gardens and many more...
