Dutton Suite
This Magnificent Suite is named after one of Kapunda's most influential figures, Mr Francis Dutton. Dutton was the co-founder of the township of Kapunda, and he first discovered the area's most important assets, copper. He later became the 7th Premier of South Australia, serving both in 1863 and again in 1865. The three roomed Dutton Suite is opulence at its finest. It comprises of not only a spacious bedroom and bathroom, but also has its own lounge room for those who enjoy more room to relax. From its handcrafted king size bed, marble fireplace, and old charm chandeliers, to the romantic 2 person spa, open rain Shower, and large flat screen TV, it's the perfect blend of tradition and modern luxury, while keeping to the origins of the Victorian style home. The Dutton suite also has the option of a sofa bed for those who are traveling in numbers.
Bagot Suite
Captain Charles Hervey Bagot was Kapunda's first mine manager, after he and compatriot Mr Francis Dutton, discovered an outcrop of copper in 1842. Bagot went on to become the major shareholder of the mine, and in turn an extremely influential figure in the township itself. Recognising the colourful history of Kapunda, we have designed the Bagot Suite with traditional red and gold colouring dominating both the bedroom and spacious bathroom. The design brings to life the grandeur that Captain Bagot himself possessed. This remarkable suite consists of a romantic bedroom with a luxurious hand crafted Queen Bed, a large flat screen TV in the bedroom and a spacious Bathroom with a romantic 2 person spa and a Rain shower. This suite is perfect for a relaxing, dreamy getaway for two.
