"Belmont", (circ. 1900), is a charming old Victorian home elegantly furnished with antiques and exquisite decor, offering a quiet and relaxing atmosphere for guests. Three bedrooms have queen beds with ensuites while a fourth has a queen and single bed and its own bathroom down the passage.
Open fireplaces and central heating will ensure ample warmth and a coy ambience during cooler weather.
Located close to the town centre and excellent restaurants and cafes, it is just a short walk to many facilities including the Famous Rose Gardens, the Regional Art Gallery and Cafe and the scenic walking track and boardwalk around the Lake.
Many tourist facilities are available within a 30 minute drive including a score of wineries at Glenrowan and Milawa and the King Valley. Tempting gourmet treats are on offer as well as the Ned Kelly Precinct and Winton Motor Raceway for the petrol heads.
Slightly further afield are the winery areas of Rutherglen and the Murray River Resorts (one hour) and also snowfields at Mt Buffalo, Mt Hotham, Falls Creek and Mt Buller (1.5 hrs)
For those who just want to relax in front of an open fire sampling local wines, there is a wide range of music and books within the library. the more sporting minded have the choice of an excellent 18 hole golf course with great grass greens, lawn bowls, lawn tennis or even ballooning or gliding out of the State's premium gliding centre at Benalla.
