Recently heritage listed homestead originally built in the 1860's and completely refurbished in the 1990's, Seaview Lodge is set in a large cottage garden with sea views and offers 5 spacious bedrooms all with en suite facilities. 4 Queen size bed rooms, 2 with four poster beds, 1 room with triple facilites, Queen size double bed and single bed and 1 twin share room. R/C airconditioners, electric blankets, TV & Reading Room with tea & coffee facilities, 1 km from Penneshaw with hotel, restaurant and cafe dining. Breakfast includes full cooked with fresh fruit cerals toast and beverages. Seaview Lodge offers peace and tranquility with a garden attracting a myriad of birds & birdsong. Relax on the verandah enjoying the rose garden, native shrubs or gaze out over the sea after a day touring beautiful Kangaroo Island voted the No.1 island in the Asia/Pacific region. Ideally situated 1 km. from the Penneshaw ferry terminal and the restaurants and cafes of this delightful town & Hog Bay Beach, with clean white sand and safe swimming is nearby. A Fairy Penguin rookery in the town offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy nightly tours. The owner Barbara Ewens, lives on the premises to ensure your comfort and assist with obtaining the best this unique and beautiful island offers. Bus tours of the magnificent south coast with sealions, seal colonies, Remarkable Rocks, Admirals Arch, Lighthouses, and sweeping views of the Southern Ocean will stay with you forever. If preferred, hire cars can be arranged or bring your own vehicle from the mianland on the modern efficient ferry service. Flights to Kingscote Airport, 57 kms. from Penneshaw leave Adelaide Airport at convenient times daily. Hire cars are available at the airport. Kangaroo island is also famous for its wineries and gourmet produce, and visiting these properties will ensure your tastebuds are tempted with food and wine tasting. Beautiful wilderness areas abound for the those who enjoy walking.
