THORNTON COUNTRY RETREAT B&B is an oasis snuggling in the heart of the Lockyer Valley surrounded by the Great Dividing and Little Liverpool Ranges. An amazing old school house built in 1889, THORNTON COUNTRY RETREAT B&B retains it's unique historic appearance and old world country charm.Visit us and see where children tied their ponies up during school hours, where they sat for lunch under the old Jacaranda tree and where they jumped from a big boulder into the Laidley Creek. The old school toilets are still on the property as is the old Headmaster's House. THORNTON COUNTRY RETREAT B&B comprises 14 acres and has amazing scenery from wherever you look. Sit on one of our four screen-enclosed verandahs and laze the day away. Don't expect a thriving social whirl here; we have a local pub if you want that cold beer or dinner, but our drawcard at THORNTON COUNTRY RETREAT B&B is Warren who makes the best breakfasts in the Lockyer Valley. Come enjoy peace and quiet and total seclusion. We pride our B&B on being in the very heart of the Lockyer Valley yet offering all the facilities of 5 star accommodation.
