Beautiful old building with an amazing interior & lots of antique furniture. We enjoyed the feeling of stepping back in time! Comfortable, cosy room overlooking greenery - trees & a football pitch. Really lovely lady on reception who later on saw us walking into Kuldiga town & kindly gave us a lift! Others have commented on its position, but we didn’t mind that it was a bit out of town & in a residential/commercial area. It only took about 20 minutes pleasant walk back from Kuldiga - but it was a gorgeous summer evening, so maybe not so good in colder or wetter weather….you’d have to drive in to the town to eat. (They had a small restaurant area, but apparently it was only used for groups.)
This newly renovated hotel is located in the very heart of the beautiful and romantic historic quarter of Kuldiga. Kuldigas Metropole has been a hotel and restaurant since 1910.

The location was excellent, a very comfortable and spacious apartment with practically everything you need provided (coffee, tea, pots, pans, cutlery, even a detergent pod). They offered an infant bed upon request and had air conditioning for warmer days. Overall, the stay was very good.

A historical, well preserved old city in the middle of Kurzeme. Well worth the new status on UNESCO world heritage list. The waterfall Ventas rumbas is impressive, not for it height, but for its width.

A must-have visit for tourists who come to Latvia and have extra time to get further away from the capital (2h drive). The city is well-renovated while keeping the oldschool charm. Restautants, shops, and nice people.
The nature around if beautiful. Kuldiga has the widest waterfall in Europe (widest, not highest :))

Kuldiga is an attractive ancient town filled with cobble stone streets and wooden buildings. The old town is rather compact and hence easily seen on foot. There are plentiful food outlets and pubs serving reasonably priced food and beer. We ate at Marmalades on Pasta iela (street) several times as it had good home-made food at a reasonable price. 20 to 30+ year olds seem to have a good command of English and were happy to answer questions or give directions. We enjoyed the relaxed vibe by day and felt safe wandering the streets at night - its light until about 11.00pm!

It combined fine dining with relatively tourist free (maybe in August there aren’t many tourists there anymore) town. The old buildings in the centre are almost exclusively protected and only renovated from the inside. Kuldiga is covered with flowers to decorate the old buildings. There are many bridges and obviously the red brick bridge is stunning. I also cannot not mention the widest waterfall in Europe. Crossing it is a must and I certainly did. Mind you, even though the water only reaches your knees at its deepest, the current tries to grab you along and the algae makes the stones slippery. I must admit I accidentally went swimming fully clothed!

Very nice, cozy town.
Very nice, cozy town. Surprisingly good food at local restaurants, catering to different tastes. Due to small number of restaurants, it is advisable to book the table in advance, especially during mass events.
Ventas Rumba is the best place where to spend hot summer days. Few after-dinner walks around city center is enough to see all the historic buildings. For additional (interesting) info just take guided tour, it is worth it. Additional places of interest are just short trip away, especially suited for those on bicycles.
P.S. Kuldiga is a small town, no nightlife whatsoever.
We really enjoyed Inga’s apartment in Kuldiga! It was well appointed and we enjoyed making Italian - style coffee. A less than 10 minute walk puts you at the bus station and less than that to the time portal and ready to walk the old town pedestrian route. We appreciated Inga meeting us at the bus station when we arrived and taking us to her place. It made the check-in and logistics very easy.
I like the vintage atmosphere the building itself, the rooms and the decor. Our room had lovely three windows to the old town and that made the room very light. It was also very spacious. The location is perfect as well. The access and check-in is not as simple as in a classic hotel (no reception - check-in in a restaurant). But everything is well explained, so it was not complicated at all.
Location was perfect and the owners were welcoming. The rooms and furnishings were very comfortable and we slept peacefully during our stay. Overall, the hotel was exceptionally clean, tastefully decorated, and full of Latvian touches and character. We were glad to have the option of well functioning AC on hot days. The breakfast next door was delicious and service was accommodating.
Very good location. Big grocery stores 1 minute away and old town centre 5 minute walk away. Apartment was nice and clean. I liked the fresh flowers on the dining table, also all the other flowers around the apartment made us feel like in home. Kuldiga was a beautiful town and this accomodation was no different.
This wonderful loft apartment is in an historic building in the middle of the old town of Kuldiga. It is quite large with a modern bathroom and kitchen. It feels like living in an 18th century home with all modern aspects. Thanks to the owner who was very helpful. I would be happy to stay here again!
I liked absolutely everything - the concept, details, the sound of rain dropping on the tiles roof, the flow of the channel under my windows. The bad was amazing, and the pillows were good. I am happy I don't have to look for the hotel for my next visit to Kuldiga, Noliktava is the best.
We had to book a room on a Sunday evening and arrive later the same night. The staff kindly left the keys and everything went smoothly, which really helped us out.
The window view is pleasant, and the environment is very calm even though the hotel is located right in the town centre.
Great service. One of the few places in Kuldīga with 24/7 reception (I noticed many other places only offer check-in until 20:00). The room exceeded our expectations: well equipped, ample seating area, tea and coffee available, good bathroom. Loved the view over the empty field!
Beautiful hotel, quiet and you could hear the birds in the morning as it’s surrounded by woods… nice rooms, nice service, great price. Recommend to drive to town, walk might be a bit far… but possible. Kuldiga, we loved you

The rooms were very comfortable, easily hosted 2 travellers! Lovely space for a vacation! Great view from the rooms and the location was also perfect - 3-minute walk from Kuldīga's best restaurants.
I loved everything ! My patents were crazy over this place ! All was good ! Loved the smell in the hallways . Very smooth stay ! Totally suggest if you want to stay in Kuldīga 🫶✨
A great place to stay ! The host gave me all the instructions to get the keys. The place is very charming and very calm. Perfect location to discover beautiful Kuldiga !
The staff was very nice. The hotel is pet friendly, they even have their own cat there :)
The bed was very comfy and there were a lot of pillows to choose from.
The house and room is not chic and fancy, but it has a certain charm and style like Kuldiga in general. It has everything necessary plus a small surprise.
