Situé à Varanasi, à moins de 300 mètres du ghat Dasaswamedh et à 600 mètres du temple Kashi Vishwanath, l'Anand Kanan propose des chambres climatisées avec salle de bains privative. Petit hôtel très bien situé, personnel professionnel et souriant, chambres vastes, propres et confortables. Le propriétaire nous a fait un accueil vraiment très chaleureux et a tout mis en œuvre pour que nous passions le meilleur séjour possible. Le restaurant est aussi une bonne option pour les repas - nous avons beaucoup apprécié le butter paneer et le aloo gobi! Pour la localisation, je vous conseille pour les premières fois d’utiliser Maps.Me ou Google Maps pour vous retrouver. Mais si vous suivez les indications de l’école de musique, vous vous retrouverez rapidement 😀

I write this review from a specific perspective — I had arrived in Vrindavan with a group but then stayed a few days on my own. I have been to Vrindavan previously but I was a little nervous about staying solo as a western woman… Vraja can present some challenges for us in regards to attracting attention, even if you are an experienced devotee. I usually stay at MVT so I can walk directly to ISKCON by myself, but it was full and I am SO GLAD I found Shree Krishna Bhakti Ashram instead! It perfectly threads the needle between having comfortable rooms and being peaceful and still in the center of Vrindavan, with the real spirit of Vrindavan and not like some of the newer developments. “Ashram” conjures up thoughts of austerities — and on the same trip I stayed alone in a Math that I couldn’t handle alone… but the rooms here are incredibly comfortable and provide things that seem luxurious in an ashram, especially for the price. I had a king-sized bed with comfortable mattresses, multiple pillows, and duvets — no fuzzy brown blankets … A wardrobe, a table and chairs for sitting, a KETTLE and tea/coffee cups with some hot drink packets and even digestive biscuits!!! Also an amazing ceiling fan, real towels in the washroom, a shower head providing hot water with water pressure instead of a bucket… etc. There’s even a TV with cable, I believe, but I did not get a chance to use it. there’s also an enclosed colonial-style veranda looking out onto a lawn which is a peaceful place to enjoy your beverage. The ashram features a small temple in the back which seems to offer small aartis daily, but this really seemed like more of a guest house than a residential ashram. anyways here is why you should choose this place as a solo woman — there is always security and the staff are AMAZING and super helpful! I booked specifically based on other Booking reviews that expressed this.

We were warmly welcomed by the owners, and they were very helpful throughout the stay too, providing information, booking tuktuks, and so on. There is a delicious breakfast included. The rooms are big, comfortable, and have all that we need. This place is at the end of a side street so there is not too much noise from the road, and you can get to the sightseeing places, especially Taj Mahal, in a short time.

Host (Seema & Neeraj )are one of the nicest people i have ever met. I was amazed to see their dedication for hospitality. I would say if you are looking to stay in Lucknow this one is NO-BRAINER.
